I have also included a template that you can download and save on your computer for reference.
4"x4" Cupcake box
* I hope you like the template, and I hope you understand it. If you know me well, you can problaby guess that this template took me about an hour to do!! hehehe.
1. First you need to cut down your 12x12 cardstock to 12x8.5 and along the 12" side, you need to score at 4" and 8"
2. Turn your cardstock over and score 1/2" and 4 1/2". Next you will score on the 5" side, but stoping at the first intersecting score line, and from the bottom intersecting score line, you will continue your score line to the edge. Please refer to the photo:
3. Now to make the top flap/back cover, you will need a piece of cardstock 9 x 5 1/16 scored along the 9" side at 1/2,4 1/2, and 8 1/2. Along the 5 1/16 side, score 1/2" on one side, flip it over and score 1/2" again.
4. Refering to the template, or these pictures cut out the pieces necessary to end up with these two pieces:
you can click on the pictures if you need a larger view.
5. Add sticky strip to your flaps *refer to template here and attach your flap to your box like so:
*I made a boo-boo with this step. Make sure to follow the template. do you see where I have sticky strip there? IT SHOULD NOT BE THERE, and I am also attaching the wrong end down. In this picture I am attaching the TOP flap down, which I should not be :/
6. Assemble your box and thats all folks!!
I really hope that the instructions where ok :) any questions just call or email me. I love hearing from my fellow crafters!
Bye for now, I will have my September classes up by the end of the week I am hoping. I have to figure out what my new schedule will be like and work my studio around it. Thanks for your patience as I figure everything out.
