Anyhoo, on to my project for you today:
Here are the invitations that I made for Tysons First Birthday. I wanted to use a baby theme stamp set, but I just looove this cowboy kid so much I just had to use it for his birthday party them.(I also wanted to use it because of all the hard work and time it took me to track down this retired set and get it shipped from the states. Yes I am that ga ga over it) annyyyhooo. I made about 15 of these free standing pop up cards. "15??!! Are you crazy woman?" I bet that is what you are thinking, but NO I am not. The way I see it is, why should I go out and buy invitations when I already have all my papercraft supplies here?
The total time spent to make these puppies was about 4 hours. I know that seems like alot of hours spent on them, but what I did was split up my process into 4 seperate intervals of just 1 hour each. Not that bad, just had to cut out TV and web browsing time. The time is worth it because the only extra cost to me was the cost of postage :)
Also, I could have cut down my process time to 2.5/3 hours if I wanted to by omitting the heat embossing that I used for the HOWDY and also you can see it, but the back view has all the party details. I random stamped the back in 2 different colours. So if I had cut out those two details I could have made it a quick and simple 2.5 hour project.
Anyhoo, time to get off and whip up some thank you favors and well as some class examples for September and October. *hint: Lots of Christmas projects :)
If you would like to make your own, here is the link to download.
Have a fab long weekend!
