Yes thats right! I made a baby GIRL card. Sometimes with two little boys, it's hard for me to "think pretty" when it comes to baby girl cards. My friend just gave birth to a girl on Thursday and I will be visiting her tomorrow so I wanted to whip up a card for her. This card was simple, yet took me a while. The stamp set that I am using is Cute and Cuddly (113682) which is in the Growing Up section of our catalogue. The part that took me a while was actual the teddy bear:
I wanted to have a simple layout, but wanted to add pizzaz with the teddy bear. So what I did was I stamped it three times on Creamy Caramel. Using a sponge dauber with Creamy Caramel ink, I sponged the edges of the bears arms on one image. On the second image, I sponged on the edges around the body and legs, and on the third stamped image, I sponged around her head and ears.
For teddys head, using my white Signo gel pen, I coloured in the eyes. To get her blushing, I used the pretty in pink chalk from my Stampin' Pastels set.
I stamped the bear image one more time on very vanilla card stock and cut out the mouth and belly part using my paper snips. Glue the mouth part to your decorated head piece, and the belly to your inked body image. I trimed out all head, the body and then the arms and used Stampin' Dimensionals to piece together the Teddy Bear.
I usually don't decorate the inside of my card, but since I chose to keep my layout simple, I did not want the card to look that simple, so I just continued the Top Note designer paper to the inside, and stamped my sentiment and the little bunny inside.
So cute, I want to keep it for myself :)
