hehe, I loved that show, Tim Allen totally cracks me up! There are many keys to my heart: Shoes, Food and Humour. Anyhoo, enough about funny men. Stampin' Up! carries a variety of differnt tools, and if you are like me, you want it all, bought it all, but never use them! So true no?? So I would like to try to dedicate every other Thursday on a differnt tool. So the tool that I would like to highlight today is the:
Crimper 101618

When I first purchased this crimper yeaaars ago, the only thing that I mainly used to crimp scrap paper that I would use to fill in treat boxes and gift bags. Then Theresa Momber made a great tutorial for a Crimped Envelope Pocket Card. I just looove pocket cards.
Here is my card for you today:
1. Seal up your envelope, and on the short side of your envelope, use your paper trimmer and cut off 1 1/4".
2. Using your sponge, ink it up with creamy caramel and sponge around your two pieces. I sponged up the back also, cant leave it naked :)
3. Using the other end of your sponge, start applying close to cocoa along the edges of your two pieces now.
4. I continued to decorate the envelope with the horse shoe image inked in close to cocoa. Just remember that whatever image you choose to stamp on the envelope, make sure it is an image that will still look decent when it becomes distorted from the crimper.
5. After you are finished decorating your album, put your envelope through the crimper so that it will make waves lengthwise.
6. On a scrap piece of cardstock, I stamped my cowboy in basic black and coloured him in with markers. I used just a wee wee bit of Pretty in Pink stampin pastels on his cheeks.
7. Cut out your image carefully using paper snips and using dimentionals adhere to the front of the envelope.
8. Decorate the flap as desired.
9. For the insert I cut chocolate chip cardstock to 4" x 4 1/2", night of navy 4"x3 3/4, and whiper white 3 1/2"x3 3/4".
10. Decorate your 3 1/2" x 3 3/4" whisper white as desired. I wanted to carry the "dirt" theme, so I very lightly sponged around in Creamy Caramel, and just at the bottom added some chocholate chip.
